When someone refers to “the Hamptons,” you may just envision one place. In reality, the Hamptons consist of about 20 different towns and villages — each with their own unique charm and feel.
While each village is slightly different in who they attract and what they offer, they’re all located on the eastern end of Long Island, New York. Water sits on both sides of the land, and most areas are equally accessible to both ocean beaches and bay beaches — all of them beautiful.
The Hamptons is known for its beaches, high-end shopping, and its many celebrity residents. It’s considered a luxurious seaside destination, and it draws a ton of visitors from New York City and other parts of Long Island.
