Everything to know about throwing an unforgettable bachelorette party in the Hamptons.

From your first morning mimosa to your final sunset cruise, continue reading for our insider's guide to planning the ultimate bachelorette trip in the Hamptons.

The crew at Yacht Hampton are experts in Hamptons bachelorette parties. When you charter a boat with us, we can book your whole bachelorette party weekend — leveraging our 10-year owner-to-owner relationships with hotels, bars, and restaurants to get you discounted prices and coveted reservations for your party. Most importantly, we’ll make sure your day on the water is the highlight of your bachelorette weekend.

Now, let's get this party started.

When to visit: The best months to book your Hamptons bachelorette party.

When it comes to getting your bachelorette party weekend on the calendar, the best dates to head out east fall anywhere between May 1st and October 31st. Early autumn can offer some fun bachelorette activities — from winery tours to a bachelorette boat ride to Greenport — but the winter is best avoided completely.

For an ideal bachelorette party experience, you’ll want to come in the late spring or summer. Summer in the Hamptons is all about the sun, sand, and water — and you might even come across another bachelorette or bachelor party during your stay.

Where to stay: The best hotels for bachelorette parties.

The Hamptons consist of roughly 20 different villages, and it can be overwhelming to choose the right destination for your bachelorette party. The general rule of thumb? Anywhere from Hampton Bays to Montauk is a party weekend sweet spot. Here are some options for the best places to stay at night during your bachelorette party weekend:

  • Baron's Cove. Located in the historic village of Sag Harbor, this upscale waterfront resort sits right on the bay. Your party will be in the middle of the action, and you'll be close to your boat! Give the hotel a call at (844) 226-672 to learn more about booking a stay for your bachelorette, and check out the Sag Harbor Inn for another local option (631) 725-2949.
  • Sunset Beach. Situated on Shelter Island, Sunset Beach is a boutique hotel with water-view rooms. It’s home to a hotspot bar and chic restaurant loved by visitors and locals alike. Lively and festive all night long, it's the perfect party weekend destination for your bachelorette. Contact the hotel at (631) 749-2001, and explore the Ram’s Head Inn (631) 749-0811 and Pridwin Hotel (844) 200-5001 for two more great Shelter Island-based spots.
  • Topping Rose House. This full-service luxury hotel is situated in Bridgehampton, a Hamptons hub for shopping and dining. Topping Rose has a historic, cottage-inspired feel and is home to an elegant Jean-Georges restaurant. If you want an elevated Hampton's bachelorette party experience and price is no option for your party guests, give them a call at (631) 808-2000.
  • Gurney’s Montauk. Gurney’s is located in Montauk, the easternmost village of the Hamptons commonly referred to as “The End.” Gurney’s sits right on the beach and offers a spa, pool, multiple restaurants, and an upscale beach club ideal for an unforgettable bachelorette beach day. Contact Gurney’s at (631) 668-2345 to inquire about your bachelorette stay, and check out the Montauk Yacht Club for an additional Montauk-based option (631) 668-3100.
  • Airbnb or VRBO. Of course, you can always opt to rent a house rather than stay at a hotel for your bachelorette party. This may be a more budget-friendly option on a busy Hamptons party weekend, and it can also work well if you’re accommodating a larger group of friends for your bachelorette trip. Just remember to look at the reviews and ensure the host is comfortable with all the post-engagement, pre-wedding party festivities.

What to do during your bachelorette stay: Beaches, booking a party bus, and other tips.

Once you’ve got your bachelorette travel dates set, your flights purchased, and your hotel booked (or your house rented), it’s time to fill your bachelorette party itinerary. Once you get to the airport and grab your bags, the real party begins. Here are a few essentials for a fun-filled bachelorette bash.

Explore the beach.

No Hamptons bachelorette is complete without one (or two) good beach days. Depending on where your bachelorette is, there will likely be multiple local beaches and bays in the area to choose from. The good news? You can’t go wrong. Most beaches have public bathrooms available, and some have food trucks and snack shacks. We recommend packing a party cooler with bites and drinks for you and your friends to avoid spending too much time in line. Insider tip? Head back to the beach at night for some bonfire fun.

Hit the bars.

The Hamptons has a thriving going-out scene, and no bachelorette party is complete without a night on the town. Head over to The Surf Lodge for a beachy vibe and possible celeb sighting, but remember to book ahead and arrive early to minimize your time in line. Southampton Social Club offers a full-service nightclub experience, complete with live music and a party DJ. For a more chic night out, try Calissa for fresh Greek cuisine and craft cocktails. Many bars host different events (day and night) throughout the summer, so be sure to check their online schedules as you plan your big bachelorette night out. Want to take your bachelorette to the next level? Rent a bachelorette party bus to take you from place to place — and have the night of a lifetime.

Shop the day away.

The Hamptons is the perfect destination for some fun in-store shopping, and it's home to a ton of popular stores you can find in New York City. Whether you shop at the luxurious designer stores on East Hampton's Main Street or hit a few of the souvenir shops in Montauk, you're sure to have a great time shopping with your friends. Let's face it, no bachelorette weekend is complete without some fun purchases. Plus, it's a great time to pick up some last-minute wedding gifts.

Spend a day on the water.

The pinnacle of any Hamptons bachelorette weekend is a boat ride on the water — that's when the party truly begins. Whether you opt for a sun-soaked day trip or a glamorous sunset cruise, your time aboard is sure to be the highlight of your bachelorette trip. Cruise over to Sunset Beach on Shelter Island’s picturesque Crescent Beach (try their famous “Hamptons Frosé”), or take a ride to Duryea’s for a freshly made lobster roll. Dance and party on the wharf at Claudio’s (day or night), or get cozy roasting marshmallows at the Ram’s Head Inn. Regardless of the excursions you choose, laying out in the sun, jumping off the boat, and playing a fun bachelorette playlist will be some of your best bachelorette party memories.

Pro-tips for booking your bachelorette party Yacht Hampton charter.

Yacht Hampton offers $200 off any bachelorette trip purchased in March or April (for the summer). Our Hamptons bachelorette party season starts May 1st and runs until October 31st. Though we own 17 boats and generally have some slots available, the best boats book first. If your boat bash is on a Saturday, please note we sell out every Saturday in the summer. We recommend booking your bachelorette charter as early as possible so you’re not stuck on the dock during your special weekend.

It’s best to book your bachelorette charter on any day between Monday and Friday. Monday through Thursday you’ll enjoy $300 off your trip, and Fridays you’ll enjoy $200 off your trip — even for our special Friday Happy Hour Sunset Cruise.

On the weekends, we advise booking a Saturday morning charter to avoid choppy late-afternoon waters and overcrowded coves.
