A Captained Boat Club in Palm Beach With No Driving Required

Many boat clubs hand you the keys. Ours hands you a captain. Our membership in Palm Beach gives you 5 trips for $10,000, on any boat in our fleet. Every trip comes with a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain. You never have to learn to dock, fuel up or read the tide charts.

Palm Beach Boat Charters by Yacht Hampton is family-owned and has chartered boats for 14 years. Our membership grew out of the same idea as our private boat charters in Palm Beach. You show up, and we handle the boat.

How Most Clubs Work

A typical club charges a one-time entry fee, then monthly dues. In return, members can reserve boats from the club's fleet. Before you go out, you usually complete a required orientation or training. Then you drive the boat yourself.

That model works well for people who want to captain their own boat. But it doesn't fit everyone. Some people don't want to drive. Others want a yacht for the day, not a small boat. And some only want to go out a few times a year.

How Ours Is Different

We keep it simple:

  • One price: $10,000 for 5 trips.
  • Any boat: Pick from our fleet of more than 30 boats, from 22 feet up to a 122-foot event yacht.
  • Captained only: A Coast Guard-licensed captain runs every trip.
  • No training: You don't need a boating course or a license.
  • A concierge: Your concierge plans each trip, from the route to the catering.

Our concierge can walk you through the full membership terms when you call.

Who This Membership Fits

This membership works well for:

  • People who love the water but don't want to own or drive a boat.
  • Families who plan a few big boat days a year.
  • Hosts who entertain clients or friends on the water.
  • Anyone who wants to try different boats, from a 22-foot boat to a large yacht.

Ways Members Use Their 5 Trips

Because you can pick any boat, each trip can look different. Here are a few ideas.

Book a captained boat rental for a family sandbar day. Sandbars along the Intracoastal draw a crowd as low tide approaches, according to Discover The Palm Beaches. Beer Can Island near the Boynton Inlet is close to our marina.

Use another trip for a luxury yacht rental when you're hosting a big group. Save one for a sunset cruise past the Palm Beach estates. You could even plan a dock-and-dine trip to a waterfront restaurant.

Questions to Ask Before You Join Any Club

Clubs vary a lot. Before you sign up anywhere, ask these questions:

  • Who drives the boat? Will you need to pass training first?
  • Is there an entry fee, monthly dues or both?
  • How big are the boats? Will one fit your whole group?
  • What's included on each trip, and what costs extra?
  • How far ahead do you need to book?

Here's how we answer the first three. Our captains drive. You pay one price for 5 trips. And our boats run from 22 feet up to 122 feet.

Membership or Single Charters?

You can always book our boats one trip at a time. Single charters range from $690 to $9,999, plus gratuity, depending on the boat and trip length.

Membership makes the most sense if you plan to go out several times and want access to the whole fleet, including our larger yachts. It also means one plan and one concierge for all 5 trips. Ask our concierge to compare both options for the way you boat.

Spread Your Trips Across the Year

We operate year-round, so you can use your trips in any season. A few ideas:

  • Winter: Look for manatees, which are most common from November 15 to March 31.
  • Spring: Enjoy long, dry days before the summer storms start.
  • Summer: Book morning trips to stay ahead of afternoon storms.
  • Fall: Plan a sunset cruise as the evenings cool down.

Where Members Go

Every trip boards at Delray Harbor Club Marina on the Intracoastal. Head north toward Manalapan, Palm Beach and Peanut Island. Or head south toward Boca Raton and Lighthouse Point. Longer trips can reach Jupiter.
