Private Boat Tours Around Palm Beach and the Intracoastal
Many public boat tours in the area seat you with other guests for 90 minutes to 2 hours. Ours work a different way. When you book boat tours in Palm Beach with us, the whole boat is yours. You pick the stops and the pace. A Coast Guard-licensed captain drives, and your own concierge plans the day before you arrive.
Palm Beach Boat Charters by Yacht Hampton is family-owned, with 14 years of chartering behind us. We board at Delray Harbor Club Marina on the Intracoastal. From there, our trips reach Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton and Jupiter. Charters run 3 to 4 hours, 6 to 8 hours, or at sunset. Prices start at $690, and fuel is always included. It's the same care we bring to all of our private boat charters in Palm Beach.
What Every Private Trip Includes
Every tour is a private charter. There's no ticket line and no strangers on board. Here's what comes with the boat:
- A U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain on every trip.
- A dedicated concierge who plans your route, stops and timing.
- Fuel for the whole trip, with no fuel charge added at the dock.
- Life jackets, pool noodles and snorkel gear.
- Seabob watercraft on select boats. You can add extra Seabobs for $500.
- Tubing, if your group wants it.
Fishing rods and gear are a paid add-on. Our concierge can also set up catering, served on board.
Our Boat Tour Options
Each tour below has its own page with more detail. Pick one, or blend two together. Our concierge builds the plan around your group.
Intracoastal Boat Tour
This is an easy ride on the waterway between the barrier islands and the mainland. It's a good pick for first-timers. Learn more about our Intracoastal boat tour.
Dolphin Watching Tour
Your captain keeps watch along the Intracoastal and near the inlets. Dolphins are wild, so sightings aren't guaranteed. Read about our dolphin watching tour.
Tubing Boat Trip
Kids and adults take turns on a tube behind the boat. Your captain picks a safe stretch of water for it. Book a tubing boat trip.
Dock and Dine Cruise
Arrive by boat at a waterfront restaurant. Our concierge books the table, and the captain handles the docking. See how our dock and dine cruise works.
Booze Cruise
This is a laid-back party cruise for adults, with a sandbar stop and room to celebrate. Our concierge can arrange catering. Plan your booze cruise.
Shared Tour or Private Charter: Which Fits Your Group?
Most tour pages skip this question. Here's the honest answer.
Shared narrated tours in the area often last 90 minutes to 2 hours. Some cap groups at about 10 guests. Others need a minimum number of riders before the boat leaves. You sit where there's room, and the route is set.
A private charter costs more up front. But you control the whole day. You choose when to swim, where to anchor and how long to stay. Go private when you want:
- To swim, snorkel or tube, not just look.
- A stop at a sandbar or at Peanut Island.
- A trip longer than 2 hours.
- A celebration with only your own group on board.
If you only want a quick look at the mansions, a shared tour is a fine choice. If you want the day to feel like yours, go private.
When to Go: Manatees, Daylight and Weather
We run charters all year, 7 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. A few local patterns can help you pick a date.
Manatee season runs from November 15 to March 31, according to Manatee Lagoon, the FPL Eco-Discovery Center in West Palm Beach. On cold days, manatees gather in the warm water flowing from the power plant next door. Even in season, a sighting is never a sure thing.
Summer days are long, so sunset trips start later in the evening. Storms can build fast on warm afternoons. If weather cancels your charter, you get a 28-month rain check to rebook.
Why Groups Book With Us
Family-Owned, With 14 Years on the Water
We're a family business, not a booking app. The people who plan your trip are the people who run the boats.
A Licensed Captain on Every Charter
Every captain holds a U.S. Coast Guard license. You never have to drive, so everyone on board can relax.
More Than 30 Boats to Choose From
Our Florida fleet has more than 30 boats, from 22 feet up to a 122-foot event yacht. Many are new luxury boats and yachts. Small groups get a nimble boat. Big groups get room to spread out.
One Concierge, Start to Finish
You get one point of contact before the trip. Your concierge handles the route, the boat match and any catering. Our team speaks English and Spanish. Hablamos español.
Where Our Tours Go
Every trip starts at Delray Harbor Club Marina. From there, the Intracoastal opens up in both directions.
Head north and you pass the Boynton Inlet and Beer Can Island, a popular sandbar. Keep going through the Lake Worth Lagoon past Manalapan, Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. Peanut Island sits near the Palm Beach Inlet at the north end of the lagoon. Longer trips can reach Jupiter and its 1860 lighthouse.
Head south and you cruise toward Boca Raton, the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse and Lighthouse Point. We welcome hotel guests from Palm Beach to Boca Raton, and locals from as far inland as Wellington.
Planning Tips From Our Concierge
A little planning goes a long way on the water. Here's what we tell guests before they book.
Book early for weekends. Appointments are recommended. If your dates are flexible, a weekday trip also comes with a discount.
Tell us who's coming. Let your concierge know about young kids, non-swimmers or anyone who gets uneasy on boats. That helps us pick the right boat and route.
Think about the tide. Sandbars along the Intracoastal are most popular as low tide approaches. Your concierge can time a sandbar stop around the tide chart.
Pick one or two big goals. A 3 to 4 hour trip works best with one main stop, like a sandbar swim or a pass by the estates. Save the long wish list for a 6 to 8 hour day.
Which Trip Fits Your Group?
Not sure where to start? Here's a quick guide.
- Couples: A sunset cruise or a dock-and-dine trip.
- Families with kids: A tubing trip or a sandbar swim with snorkel gear.
- Friend groups: A sandbar day with Seabobs, or a party cruise.
- First-time visitors: An Intracoastal trip past the estates, with a swim stop.
Your concierge can mix and match any of these.
What Do Boat Tours in Palm Beach Cost?
Our charters range from $690 to $9,999, plus gratuity. That covers the boat, the captain and the fuel. Some South Florida charters bill fuel by engine hours after the trip. We don't.
Three things set your price:
- Boat size. A 22-foot boat costs less than our 122-foot yacht.
- Trip length. Choose 3 to 4 hours, 6 to 8 hours, sunset, or overnight on select yachts.
- Add-ons, like extra Seabobs, fishing gear or catering.
Ask about weekday discounts. Gift cards are available too. We accept credit cards, debit cards, ACH and wire transfers. We don't take cash or mobile pay.
