Sail The Hamptons On A Luxurious Yacht, Sans Ownership Responsibilities

Forbes weighs the economics of ownership against a concierge-led alternative, and looks at how FleetShare™ carries a single standard of service across the Hamptons and the Palm Beaches.

Through its FleetShare membership, Yacht Hampton offers something the yachting world has rarely seen: a curated fleet of more than 28 globally sourced yachts, all centralized and available through a membership or day-charter concept, without ownership.

The Yacht Hampton Story

Built on the Water,
For the Water

Yacht Hampton was founded on a simple observation: in a market where the average privately owned boat leaves the slip fewer than fifteen days a season, ownership is the most expensive possible way to spend a day on the water. The company built the alternative — an internationally sourced fleet, a private marina, in-house USCG-licensed captains, and a concierge team that plans the day before it starts.

2013

Founded in Sag Harbor

A single vessel operating out of the East End’s historic whaling port.

Three milestone years are marked “year to confirm” pending client sign-off. Note also that the current site gives two different founding years — 2012 on the Hamptons page, 2013 on the press-kit counter used above. One should be settled before this page goes live.

Joe Ialacci, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yacht Hampton

Meet the Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Joe Ialacci

Joe Ialacci founded Yacht Hampton in Sag Harbor and grew it from a single boat into a fleet of more than twenty-five company-owned vessels, a private marina, and a membership model built for people who want the water without the overhead. He remains closely involved in fleet selection, sourcing vessels from Italian and Spanish builders, and in the concierge standard that defines the company on both coastlines.

He is available for interviews on the economics of yacht ownership, the shift from owning to access, the Hamptons and Palm Beach waterfront markets, and building a service business on repeat clientele.

By the time you arrive at the marina in Sag Harbor, or a convenient designated pick-up location in East Hampton or Montauk, your boat is ready, and that's really where the experience starts to take shape.

Joe Ialacci · Forbes, May 2026

The goal is that it all feels effortless, so you're just enjoying the experience without thinking about any of the logistics.

Joe Ialacci · Forbes, May 2026

FleetShare is built around the customer's budget and schedule. There is no membership fee.
